Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta.
This is how it starts — great novel by Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov, who strongly influences our work and the vision of art and power of words.
Where is the magic in the book? A harsh experiment where Mr. Nabokov is trying to check whether he can make a reader sympathize to a paedophile?
He is trying to do it any possible way. And the start: «Lo-Lee-Ta». He makes us repeat the way protagonist spells the name of Lolita. You get involved right from the first moment.
We thought it perfect reflects the idea of the book. Moreover it does differ and it does attract attention even my this small misspelling.
