Introduction

Elis Group is young Russian company operating in delivery of low and middle voltage cable and other other electric equipment like couplings and transformers.

The task for our team was to create a new brand for the company that would reflect some main ideas company wanted to deliver: light, transparency, flexibility and professionalism.

Can we bring fun and being strict same time?

Creating the identity we had no hesitations regarding colour identification. Yellow parts on dark background symbolize light in the dark pool of competitors.

The task for our team was to create a new brand for the company that would reflect some main ideas company wanted to deliver: light, transparency, flexibility and professionalism.

Our team has completely re-branded customer identity moving from grey and non-competitive to bright and remarkable solution, that we can also name elegant in many ways.

On the left you can see old customer's logo. Based on some investigations we found out that blue and red colours are used by 80% companies busy in delivering electric equipment stuff in Russia.

Based on this and idea to show light and transparent company we decided to use the contrast between stylish grey and sunny yellow colors.

Basic idea: E+G

During creation of the sign we were trying to create some abstract but remarkable logotype. Something like Chase Bank.

The solution was combining in some abstract from initial company letters: E and G.

Grid usage

The power of the logotype is becoming obvious in case we outline the grid it is based on. Simple grid allows us to build various amount of different

icons and graphic sets. We also can be build the alphabet, which you can see below.

Elis Font

Based on logotype and brand grid we have created company display font: Elis Still and Elis Itallic. Company font allows the team to be easily identified in any document, poster without even naming it or puttingthe logo.

Created font is used only as a display one for large headers and notifications. It is not readable in a small format and was not created for these purposes.

System

Any branding can become real mess in case it is not used in a proper way that was created during the brand initial statement. In order to avoid it and make the brand sustainable, we have provided the customer

with a detailed graphic design manual showing the idea and the rules that should be followed within a brand system.
